Misao + David | DeLille Cellars

Misao and David's wedding is leaving us with major heart eyes as we re-live it through the stunning photos from Megan Holloway with Ink and Grain. This DeLille Cellars wedding is filled with the 2016 pantone colors of the year rose quartz and serenity. We had so much fun designing the details of this wedding leaving it lush and organic with touches of glam.

Misao came to us with the request that her wedding be pink/coral and blue, with a hint of stripes and polka/dots, she wanted to keep it timeless and she made it clear that she has a love of Kate Spade. We think we ticked all of her boxes through the place settings alone and a light sprinkle throughout the event. Thanks to Cort Party Rentals we were able to select perfect place settings by mixing and matching their incredible array of options (we personally love their gold polka-dot plates). Our team tied striped ribbons around each napkin and topped it off with each guests name cut out of gold paper for a touch of sparkle. The couple chose coffee beans in linen bags at each guests place setting for the favor, we top the bags with a sweet "Perfect Blend" stamp from Fall For Design. The breathtaking flowers from Bloomed Out topped off the look and tied it all together!

A Change of Season

As you may have heard, it’s everyone’s favorite season, Fall! We at AlexisMarie have already checked pumpkin patches, pumpkin spice, and cozy weekends by the fire off our to-do list; have you?

One of our favorite things about fall is taking the atmosphere and traditions, and using them as inspiration to create! Recently our associate Megan styled an autumn-inspired shoot, putting a moody, industrial spin on the traditional fall harvest table. Wanting to embrace the sense of change and the stormy environment that autumn can bring, she stepped away from the long farm table and took a leap into something new!

Using a collection of metal, wood, and black accent tables topped with delicate garland, she created a banquet of richly colored fall staples such as plums, pomegranates, and berry-flavored desserts. Accented by touches of marble, gold, and perfectly daring paper goods by Libby Tipton, the vision came together as a rustic and modern tablescape fit for any autumn celebration, and we’re in love!

Inspiration.

One of the most refreshing things to do as creatives in our industry, is to create something simply for the sake of creating. For nothing more than a vision, and the inability to shack the inspiration aside. This shoot was one of those times. The finished product stretched us outside of our comfort zone and is ultimately something we are very proud of.

AlexisMarie Events is responsible for the floral arrangements throughout. We had so much fun dreaming up arrangements that were more "over the top organic", and creating floral pieces that could be worn as headpieces or even body garments.

The images capture a very different style then what you might normally find on AlexisMarie, but we can't get enough of the depth and texture in each photo. We hope you enjoy scrolling through!

Watercolor + Wallpaper

Recently we have been fortunate enough to work with some pretty incredible creatives to dream up new inspiration. It's an exciting and refreshing feeling to take ideas that are deep inside you and allow yourself the time to let those ideas come to life. Some of you may have already seen this featured on Ruffled Blog, but for those of you that haven't we are pretty excited to finally be sharing on our own blog!

At a stunning private estate along the water, we chose to pull inspiration from vintage wallpaper and the newest watercolor trend that's been making its round this wedding season. With the help of some pretty spectacular vendors, we created a space that felt romantic and whimsical, with an element of modern class. The invitation suite was watercolored in stunning olive green, topped off with vintage stamps and dip dyed ribbon. We chose to create the florals with a deep green leafy base, and fill the arrangements with soft blooms that are true to the spring season. The backdrop was created with gorgeous wallpaper and overgrown greenery spilling out of a natural wood box, and a sheer peach tablecloth spilled over the table setting. This shoot was nothing short of dreamy.
